Standing an impressive 17.1 hands, Bianca is a striking black tobiano F3 Premium Drum Horse mare, registered with the International Drum Horse Association as D0289M. She possesses the size, substance, color, and commanding presence desired in the Drum Horse, yet she is equally admired for her athleticism and extraordinary movement. Horse Feathers Farm described Bianca as having three beautifully balanced gaits and an exceptional ability to pass her movement, size, and presence to her offspring.
A Direct Daughter of Drum Horse Royalty

Bianca’s pedigree connects her directly to one of the most historically significant stallions in the development of the modern Drum Horse: Galway Warrior.

Galway Warrior was purchased as a young horse on behalf of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, trained at Windsor Stables to carry the ceremonial drums, and later used as a breeding stallion at the Royal Paddocks at Hampton Court Palace. After his importation to the United States, he became the 2003 BreyerFest Special Guest and was honored as a limited-edition Breyer model. He was also a son of the celebrated Shire stallion Edingale Mascot, bringing an especially distinguished Shire influence into Bianca’s pedigree.

Bianca’s dam, Gypsy Belle, was a Clydesdale mare who contributed the bone, power, and substantial draft-horse type evident throughout Bianca’s maternal family. The result is a mare who embodies the purpose behind the Drum Horse: monumental enough to command attention, athletic enough to perform, and balanced enough to remain elegant in motion.

Across these different pairings, Bianca repeatedly produced horses known for their height, bold presence, quality movement, approachable personalities, and unmistakable Drum Horse type. Horse Feathers Farm described her foals as big, bold, and exceptionally friendly, with Bianca consistently passing forward her size and balanced movement.

Her four offspring by Avalon’s King Arthur combine the blood of two legendary Drum Horse families: Galway Warrior through Bianca and Clononeen Ard Ri through Arthur. Her two daughters by Tally Ho Legend introduce an additional concentration of exceptional Shire blood. Legend was a proven show horse who earned the titles of National Reserve Grand Champion Shire and Junior Champion Stallion.
The Dam of a Grand Champion

Perhaps the clearest proof of Bianca’s ability as a broodmare is her first daughter by Avalon’s King Arthur, Horse Feathers Penelope.

Foaled in 2013, Penelope was described from birth as a huge, lovable filly and was later confirmed to be homozygous for tobiano. She matured into an accomplished and highly versatile representative of the Drum Horse breed.

At the 2018 Tulsa State Fair Draft Horse & Mule Show, Penelope won the Draft Horse Mare—Five Years and Older class before being named Grand Champion Mare. The official results also record first-place victories for Penelope in both Saddled Riding Walk/Trot and Bareback Riding. Her success across halter and riding classes demonstrated that she possessed far more than impressive conformation—she also had the temperament, athleticism, and trainability to perform under saddle.

Penelope’s championship is a tremendous accomplishment in its own right, but it is also an enduring testament to the quality Bianca was capable of producing.

Bianca’s son Horse Feathers Zephyr further demonstrated the family’s show potential. At only seven months old, Zephyr earned first place in Colts, Stallions, and Geldings Halter, second in Liberty, and additional placings in Trail in Hand and Gypsy/Drum Costume at the Oklahoma State Fair. Horse Feathers Farm praised him for his height, conformation, movement, inquisitive personality, and exceptional future potential.

Her daughter Kerowyn was described as possessing an excellent mind and an affectionate, people-oriented personality, while her son Orin Ria inherited Bianca’s athletic movement, substantial size, laid-back disposition, and dramatic presence. These qualities appearing repeatedly across multiple offspring are what distinguish a truly influential broodmare.
Her Crown Cavalo Legacy

Bianca holds a deeply meaningful place in the Crown Cavalo story through her daughter Crown Cavalo Reihna, sired by Tally Ho Legend.

Reihna inherited the size and presence for which Bianca’s family is known, reaching approximately 16.3 hands while continuing to mature. Her pedigree combines Bianca’s Galway Warrior heritage with Tally Ho Legend’s distinguished Shire lines, creating a mare with a particularly strong concentration of traditional British draft-horse influence.

Through Reihna, Bianca’s legacy remains part of Crown Cavalo. She represents a direct connection to Galway Warrior, the early development of the American Drum Horse, the accomplishments of Bianca’s champion-producing family, and the generations still to come.
