Rare in color, extraordinary in pedigree, and historic from the moment she entered the world, Crown Cavalo Crimson Erin—affectionately known as “Erin”—is an exceptionally special red roan F1 Drum Horse filly. Foaled May 8, 2026, Erin represents a remarkable union between two celebrated feathered breeds: the Gypsy Vanner and the Clydesdale. Crown Cavalo proudly believes her to be the first red roan F1 Drum Horse filly born in the United States, making her arrival an unforgettable milestone for our breeding program and the American Drum Horse community.

Erin is sired by the renowned Thorn Hill Red Whiskey, a striking 15-hand red roan Gypsy Vanner stallion registered with the Gypsy Vanner Horse Society. Red Whiskey is homozygous for roan, with recorded color genetics of eeRnRnND1ND2, and descends from some of the most recognizable bloodlines within the breed. He is a grandson of both Pompeii and SD BlackJack, bringing rare color genetics, traditional Gypsy character, and distinguished heritage to this extraordinary filly.

Her dam is LICS Glitz & Glam—affectionately known as “Jewels”—a rare registered purebred sorrel Clydesdale mare standing 16.3 hands. Jewels contributes the height, substance, strength, and powerful presence of the Clydesdale, beautifully complementing Red Whiskey’s abundant feather, distinctive coloring, and traditional Gypsy type. Together, they have produced a filly who is 50% Gypsy Vanner and 50% Clydesdale, the classic first-generation cross upon which the Drum Horse was founded.

With an estimated mature height of approximately 17 hands, Erin is expected to grow into a tall and commanding mare while retaining the elegance and unmistakable beauty that make the Drum Horse so captivating.
