Crown Cavalo Khaleesi

A name fit for a queen, Crown Cavalo Khaleesi—affectionately known as “Kali”—is a striking black tobiano F2 Drum Horse filly whose beauty is matched only by her extraordinary strength and resilience. Foaled April 28, 2024, Khaleesi is registered with the International Drum Horse Association as D1028M. She is sired by the 16.2-hand F1 Drum Horse Avalon’s King Arthur and out of the impressive 17.1-hand IDHA Premium mare Horse Feathers Daphne.

Already standing an impressive 16 hands, Khaleesi has developed into a tall, substantial, yet beautifully feminine young mare. Her pedigree combines 37.5% Gypsy, 12.5% Shire, and 50% Clydesdale, bringing together the elegance and feather of the Gypsy, the height and strength of the Shire, and the powerful substance and expressive movement of the Clydesdale. Her EeaaTt genetics give her a dramatic black tobiano coat, and she has tested negative for both PSSM1 and FIS.

Khaleesi’s journey, however, is what makes her truly unforgettable. She was born with an angular limb deformity believed to have been caused by her positioning inside the womb. While hospitalized as a young filly, she developed a serious umbilical infection that required surgery. Her prognosis was grave, and there were moments when it seemed unlikely that she would survive.

Thanks to the exceptional care and skill of the surgical team at Rhinebeck Equine, Khaleesi defied the odds. She carries only a small, barely noticeable bump on her belly from everything she endured, and her stifles have improved dramatically as she has grown. Today, she stands before us as a beautiful, thriving young mare and a powerful reminder of just how much courage can exist within one horse.

With her impressive size, distinguished bloodlines, athletic potential, and remarkable spirit, Khaleesi has the versatility to excel in many directions. Yet beyond her potential as a riding, driving, showing, or future breeding prospect, she will always be especially precious to us.
