Crown Cavalo Reihna

Crown Cavalo Reihna is a striking black F3 Drum Horse mare who represents both the history and the future of the Crown Cavalo breeding program. As only the second foal ever born at our farm, Reihna holds a particularly special place in our hearts. She has never been sold, relocated, or passed from one home to another—Crown Cavalo is the only home she has ever known.

Foaled on April 3, 2022, and standing an impressive 16.3 hands, Reihna combines commanding size, substantial bone, and traditional draft presence with the refinement and femininity we value in our mares. She is sired by Tally Ho Legend, an influential black Shire stallion known for contributing size, substance, and temperament to the Drum Horse breed.

Her dam, Shiredale Warriors Bianca, is sired by the famous Galway Warrior, giving Reihna a direct connection to one of the most celebrated bloodlines in the Drum Horse world. Galway Warrior is also the sire of Alexander the Great PRR, making Bianca and Alexander paternal half-siblings and Reihna a close relative of Alexander.

Because of this valuable shared heritage, Reihna will not be bred to Alexander the Great or other closely related Galway Warrior lines. Every pairing within the Crown Cavalo program is planned with careful attention to pedigree, genetic diversity, conformation, temperament, and the long-term health of the breed.

Rather than breeding Reihna within bloodlines already closely represented in her pedigree, we selected her for another important role within our program: serving as a recipient mare for one of our carefully created embryos.

Reihna exceeded every expectation.

She carried and delivered an exceptionally substantial foal, demonstrating the physical capacity, calm temperament, and natural maternal ability we hoped she would possess. Although she was not the foal’s genetic dam, Reihna embraced motherhood beautifully and proved herself to be a dependable and attentive surrogate. Her ability to comfortably carry such a large baby was exactly what we hoped for when entrusting her with one of our most valuable future foals.

This experience revealed another dimension of Reihna’s importance to Crown Cavalo. Her contribution to our program is not limited to what she may produce genetically. She has also proven that she can be trusted to safely carry, deliver, and nurture the next generation of our horses.

With her impressive height, traditional substance, distinguished pedigree, and gentle maternal nature, Reihna is more than a mare within our herd. She is a horse born beneath the Crown Cavalo name, raised entirely within our family, and trusted with the future of our breeding program.
